Mixed Rags

“Mixed rags” are a category of used clothes that still have economic value and come from sources that are 1) not in the process of being sold and 2) not suitable for sale due to minor defects such as stains, tears, broken zips, missing buttons, etc. Mixed rags are sometimes referred to as “institutional mixed rags” or simply “institutional clothing“. This type of clothing is packaged and sold in bulk bales. Baled mixed rags are sold by weight. We also call them B-grade second-hand clothes.
